Premier League Players Will Be Wearing Jerseys with the Bitcoin Logo

The logo will be featured on the shirt sleeve of the official Watford FC football jersey as a part of its sponsorship with Sportsbet.io. Instead of its own logo, this company will place the Bitcoin logo on its jersey. It will be seen by millions of football fans every week. “The crypto community have been highly supportive of us since we began, so putting the bitcoin logo on the sleeve felt like a fun way to give something back while also showing them our support,” said the marketing head of the firm, Justin Le Brocque. He also added that one of the challenges the cryptocurrency sector faces is the lack of public awareness.


“Some of the biggest challenges we and others like us face is raising awareness, dispelling common myths around cryptos and educating the public on the advantages and opportunities presented by cryptocurrencies. Our partnership with Watford marks a major disruption in the world of traditional sports sponsorship, and by adding the Bitcoin logo we hope this world’s first partnership will create even more buzz around cryptocurrencies,” he said.

For the past ten years, the viewership of the Premier League has increased by more than 74 percent in the United States, with hundreds of millions watching the league worldwide. More than 2.2 million viewers followed the final week of the Premier League, which means a 19 percent increase year-over-year. On NBC, around 457,000 viewers watched the Premier League in the 2018/2019 season on average, which represents a two percent increase year-over-year.
