The Dollar Wrecking Ball: Why is a strong US dollar so dangerous?
The rising US dollar strength is starting to produce cracks across economies and markets.
Bitcoin Whitepaper celebrated its 11th birthday on 31 October 2019. On that day in 2008, the peer-to-peer electronic payment system, published by an anonymous person (or group) acting under the name Satoshi Nakamoto, was mentioned for the first time.
The only 9-page document (whitepaper) described in detail how the cryptocurrency called “Bitcoin” should work. Besides the concept of Proof-of-Work or mining, the whitepaper explained the basics of the whole network, the functioning of the blocks, the calculations (based mainly on probability), as well as part of the code. Although it was a short document, after 11 years, we can definitely say that it indeed changed a lot in the world of finance.
Of course, there are innumerable reasons to celebrate this date and Bitcoin’s “birthday”. Ever since its beginnings, Bitcoin, and hundreds of other cryptocurrencies now, have proved that decentralization in the financial world was indeed necessary. However, several crypto specialists still emphasize that each day of Bitcoin’s functioning has proved the necessity of changing this sector and returning financial freedom to individuals.
Undoubtedly, it is one of the most essential documents ever issued about cryptocurrencies. That’s why all enthusiasts, investors and traders interested in cryptocurrencies should definitely read it. Not only once or twice but, at least, ten times. Below, you can find the links to the English and the Czech version of the Bitcoin Whitepaper.
