The Dollar Wrecking Ball: Why is a strong US dollar so dangerous?
The rising US dollar strength is starting to produce cracks across economies and markets.
One of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance, is in many respects the flagship of the sector. Binance is undoubtedly one of the most innovative companies in the world of cryptocurrencies. That is why this exchange was one of the first companies to start paying their employees in cryptocurrencies. Although the exact numbers are not known, the CEO of this exchange, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) disclosed more details.
On May 24, @DoveyWan asked the CEO of Binance Exchange what percentage of employees receive a paycheck in Binance coin. On that day, CZ replied that this was a large percentage of the employees. Despite the fact that CZ did not publish exact numbers, it is clear that the payment in the BNB is popular among the employees of this exchange.
In another thread on Twitter, Changpeng Zhao also announced that receiving payment in cryptocurrencies should be the right of every employee. CZ also believes that improving financial freedom is the mission of this exchange and that is why everyone in the world should be able to choose whether they want to receive payment in FIAT or in cryptocurrencies. Although this is an isolated case, it is likely that the number of companies that will pay employees in cryptocurrencies will gradually increase.
The example of New Zealand comes handy here. In 2019, the country passed a law that allows all employees to receive pay in cryptocurrencies. It is therefore not too far-fetched to believe that not only companies but also states will allow some employees to receive their pay in cryptocurrencies. At Dollero Technology, we gave a green light to this option at the very beginning of the project. Almost everyone we work with for a longer period of time receives part of their reward in the cryptocurrency Dollero.
