Samsung is developing its own blockchain

Tech giant Samsung is experimenting with blockchain and searching for direction to take after own token issuance.

According to exclusive CoinDesk report, one of Samsung's internal teams is developing blockchain mainnet on Ethereum blockchain. The project is still at its initial experimental development phase.

“We are thinking about private blockchain for now. In future, it could be public blockchain, or even hybrid - their combination.” the report presents. When the development of public blockchain is finished, Samsung may want to launch its cryptocurrency, that would be publicly tradable on crypto exchanges in the same way, as for example bitcoin, ethereum or other common cryptocurrencies are.

The market expects, Samsung's cryptocurrency will be reality, although it is premature to predict its future directions. It could, for example, introduce it into its mobile payment app Samsung Pay, used to conduct transactions by all its users.

Samsung company is aware of blockchain's power and therefore it adds crypto wallet on its latest smartphone S10 together with other user's functionalities for cryptocurrencies. Own blockchain together with own cryptocurrency is a logical next step.
