Why did bitcoin plunge?

At the beginning of june, bitcoin traded for 8 500 USD, although it didn't take long and a correction dragged it down by $500. Let's see what directly preceded it.

A sudden drop took away $13 billion within one hour. Altcoins naturally followed the trend, interesting is that bitcoin dominance somehow didn't change much and so altcoins weren't able to gain on the drop and actually lost their positions. The current bitcoin dominance sits at 55 %.

Shortly before the drop, a significant bitcoin transaction was conducted. Being specific, 25 160 BTC were transferred from an unknown wallet to Coinbase exchange wallet. In the moment of the drop, those bitcoins were valued around $215 millions. The transactions are subject of discussions emerging from possible bitcoin price manipulation, because this hasn't happened for the first time. For example, in April this year another sharp decrease of $1 000 happened within 24 hours across several crypto exchanges. Xeveral cross-synchronous orders were detected, in total of 20 000 BTC. To wrap up, a transaction fee for the mentioned transfer was 0,0234 BTC (185 USD).
