Blockchain has Gained Further 4 Million Wallets

Blockchain company, which is the main provider of crypto wallets, claims that it added over 4 million new wallets in April and May, which is more than double compared to the same period in 2018.

Of course, a new wallet does not necessarily mean a new user, since one person can have more wallets.

However, the number of the users of Blockchain wallets is steadily increasing worldwide. While there were over 6 million wallets in early 2016, their number reached almost 24 million in January 2018 and climbed to 34.5 million early this year, followed by the above-mentioned rise. According to the website of the company, over 39 million wallets are active currently, with over 100 million transactions amounting to USD 200 billion in 14 countries of the world.

The reason might be the leap of the bitcoin in May 2019 to over USD 8,000 as well as the rise of the Ethereum and Bitcoin cash by over 60%. Another reason might lay in the recent partnership with the Paxos corporation which added the first stabilizer (USD PAX) to the Blockchain wallet.

Currently, Blockchain supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Stellar, and USD PAX.
