Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will Support Cryptocurrencies

Samsung Electronics is releasing a new version of its Galaxy Note 10 smartphone that will have a pre-installed crypto wallet to enhance the adoption of blockchain technologies. The hardware of the new edition will not differ from the existing Galaxy Note 10 but will contain blockchain apps and a crypto wallet. If you buy the smartphone, you can also obtain a certain amount of Klay cryptocurrency.

According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, the new Samsung Galaxy note 10 is marketed as a “KlaytnPhone”. The name is derived from a blockchain network developed by the Kakao firm. While the Klaytn network has been running since June this year, its native cryptocurrency Klay has not yet been listed on exchanges.

The KlaytnPhone is another step taken by Samsung to widen its efforts to boost cryptocurrency adoption. Samsung first revealed the Galaxy S10 smartphone that supports digital wallets with cryptocurrencies, such as the Ether (ETH) and tokens ERC-20 on the Ethereum blockchain, in March this year.
